What are your opinions about the use of implanted tracking devices to locate abducted children?

I think it may just make many parents complacent about their children's safety, so that they are more likely to put them at risk. Having an implanted tracking device won't protect a child from being raped, maimed or murdered. Those things could have happened before the child is even missed.

Like you, I doubt that technology can be a cure for the evil in some people's hearts.

There is no quick fix,that is certain.It is also certain that parents are terrified their children could be abducted.Would it suffice to say that child molesters,killers and kidnappers are also terrorist?I do not like where this is going either,but,niether you nor I can make the decision about what another parent thinks he needs to do.I do hope this device is something that could be activated upon command,not just whim by the administrators.

First off, all tracking can be foiled...in some cases with foil or adiquet shielding such as iron structures, underground areas, etc. Secondly, the very idea that some one can track all my actions no matter where I go is repulsive to me as a free man. Might as well put a "property of" tag on me.
