I disagree. The temperaments of poodles and Italian Greyhounds are like night and day. I've heard about plenty of nasty poodles, even known a couple. But I have yet to read or hear of ANY IG that has/had a bad temper or habitually reacts in anger. They just don't have it in them. Maybe this IG ran from the vet or wouldn't sit still for him, but I can't begin to imagine that the vet reacted to any kind of aggressive behaviour from an IG.

I've had standard poodles and IGs. A male standard poodle can be aggressive. An IG never. They are the oldest non-sporting breed. They were created to be house pets and lapdogs. There is nothing on earth more affectionate. They are, however, hell to housebreak. But beating them is going to help??? We have two, and they go to pieces if you look at them crosseyed.

Ya know, my terrier is a trustworthy-off-lead couch potato... not typical of terriers. I am saying that just because it was an Italian greyhound doesn't by definition mean it was a wonderful dog, though most of them are very sweet.

The temperaments of poodles and Italian Greyhounds are like night and day BTW pretty much every other poodle we had come in was wonderful or at the very least, not any problem to handle.
