Fundamental changes are taking place in the historical policies of the United States with regard to human rights, our role in the community of nations and the Middle East peace process -- largely without definitive debates (except, at times, within the administration). Some new approaches have understandably evolved from quick and well-advised reactions by President Bush to the tragedy of Sept. 11, but others seem to be developing from a core group of conservatives who are trying to realize long-pent-up ambitions under the cover of the proclaimed war against terrorism.

I know this is the typical reaction, but why would anyone listen to what this guy has to say about foreign policy, when his own record was such an embarassment?

Just imagine how we'd be prosecuting this war if Jimmy were president. We'd be seeing Helocopters crashing in the desert for lack of basic maintenence, our embassies being taken over by thugs, oil shortages at home....Oh wait that WAS his presidency. Jimmy should just keep his mouth shut, we already have one America-bashing ex-president shooting his mouth off every 5 minutes, Jimmy doesn't need to add to the chorus.

Notice how the lib media always likes to wheel the Wisdom of Jimah Cartah out, along with that other winner, Gerahld Fuhrd.

"It is crucial that the historical and well-founded American commitments prevail: to peace, justice, human rights, the environment and international cooperation."
Those last two items: "The environment and international cooperation."
Somebody point to that in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.

Jimmy, like his fellow Georgian Jihad Cindy, is heavily funded by arabs and islamists. Why is Jimmy not required to disclose this fact when he opens his pie-hole? Do honesty and ethics only apply to republicans and business people?

Hey JIMMY!
Read this:
Yew arso wee todd did. Each it!

For the president that has the most raw intelligence he sure is an effin village idiot. Not only is he inept, but his judgement is piss poor. Why does'nt he go to North Korea or something?
To: Pokey78
Quick, somebody give that idiot the Neville Chamberlin reward and shove it down his throat!
Give him a hammer and nail and send him to China, one way!! (Can you believe Carter's stupidity???)

This is very reassuring...this morning when I woke up, a had a slight concern that the war on Iraq was a bad choice. Now I'm sure it's the right thing.

Jimmy Carter giving advice on being president is like Bob Uecker giving advice on hitting. The guy is a huge anti-Semite (see NR article "Carterpalooza"), so no wonder his knee-jerk hatred of Israel. It's amazing to me that someone shot Reagan, but no one tried to take out this SOB.

OUCH, I just gagged!
In the 70's we experienced 12% inflation, 12% unemployment. Car loans averaged 22%,
Carter gave away the Panama Canal, he halted development of the B1 bomber, Camp David, Khomeini takes over Iran and the world begins to learn about Islamic Law, The hostage crisis, Carter boycotts the Olympics, what a tough guy!, that surely spooked them all, the boat lift....yikes I could go on an on about how truly deranged Jimmy Carter was.

Why hasn't it become clear that this guy is more responsible for the unrest in the middle east than any other human being? His short sighted abandonment of the Shah of Iran permitted the rise of the most violent threat to western civilization since Adolf Hitler. Not to mention allowing our embassy to be violated, our people taken hostage, and with no retribution, thus showing them how corrupt and irresolute we are as a nation. Pass me a bucket and stick a sock in this guy's pie hole!

When I tell my teenage son about gas lines and such (trying to make a case for not driving his car with the gas gauge needle on 'E') he stares at me incredulously. Odd/even days, long lines, signs saying 'No Gas'. Ugh, what memories. Carter no doubt saw it as a good thing. I wonder if he wrote the article, as the bye-line says or if some democrat party hack wrote it and put his name on it. Doesn't matter, he'd agree any way. He's so friendly, real, and NAIVE. Duh. He sees no problem in visiting cuba? He wouldn't have sent Eleon Gonzoles back to Cuba only because he would weenie out (in that case it is a good thing).

What I tell my teenage daughters--There is good and evil-KNOW how to tell them apart--look at the absolute liars (Carter is one) saying how godly and good they are.Helping
MANKIND!! he has turned into the # 1 Marxist of all time.
He only cares about himself- because as a true Marxist-he
has been appointed by his fellow Demonrats to lead us.
A pox on the Demonrat party.
