OAKLAND LEADS 11-5: Amazing! Going for 20 in a Row

In a year in which baseball almost put another nail in its own coffin, at least there is some excitement. The Oakland A's lead 11-5 over the KC Royals in the 6th as they go for 20 in a row. Just amazing.

I smell a fix!!! This is about the only thing that can keep people paying attention to baseball, as the NFL season kicks off tomorrow night! (Tonight for those of you on the east coast).

11-10. Oakland really almost choked. KC scored 5 in the top of the 8th.

Had to turn to the Deuce to watch it....Great to see Mabry again...still one of my favorites.

And Alicea ties it...another old favorite from the Cards of the early 90's.

I don't have cable. I'll have to rely on your play-by-play of the game. :-)

Scott Hatteberg just put one in the right field seats.

A's win #20, 12-11, in the bottom of the ninth.

Thanks for the play-by-play call!

I'd like for nothing better than Oakland to face off against Minnesota in the ALCS, just to rub it in to "Commissioner" Bud Selig who wanted to contract out the Twins.

On the other hand, I was heartened to hear that the Braves drew their smallest-ever crowd to Turner Field the other day. I think lots of fans were turned off by all that strike nonsense. They're already not coming back!
