One of the loose threads rattling around my head (threads rattle if they weigh heavily on the mind) is the final disposition of the contested absentees. Did some of them, all of them, or none get into the final count?

My recollection is that not all of them had been incorporated into the various counties' certified results as of the date the hammer came down and the official statewide result was certified. My thanks to anybody who has that info on tap.

None of them were ever recounted and included, but a federal district court did rule that they should be included. The ruling occured the same day as the Supreme Court ruling halting the statewide recounts so it became OBE (overcome by events).
