If France wants a world tax let them pay for it. Why should we pay for things that France wants. Any nation that loves to surrender and eat snails and frogs cannot be trusted.
Any one can voluntarily send money to the UN. Where in the US Constitution does it say we have to pay money to the UN? Where does it say in the Constitution that the UN has a right to tax the American citizens? Raise taxes, create coinage etc...?
US out of the UN, and UN out of the USA By th
Who will use this tax? How will it be used? In what way will it be used? How will benefit? who will oversee the monies collected? Who will be hired to do this? What qualifications will they need to be hired?

As I understand it, there already is such a tax on airline tickets.

International FICA. What will they think of next?

Chirac, by French standards, is a conservative.
God help France.

Time after time, after time we came to France's aid.
Two World Wars, several huge financial aid packages, rebuilding roads, infrustructure etc.
France still hates our guts. The next time France needs our help we should tell them that we first must consult the UN's security council, where we, the USA, will veto any aid we, the USA, propose to give you.

If you think welfare has been a taxpayer's nightmare and a total failure in this country., wait until these euro-socialists try to put the entire world on the dole.

WTF, don't these assholes realize that government intervention is the root cause of poverty?

It could be a tax on airplane tickets, on carbon dioxide... Levied by whom? There are, after all, no carbon dioxide meters distributed worldwide...my guess is that it would be levied according to some environmentalist's estimate, and would be targeted at Guess Who. They're gonna ram the Kyoto Extortion Protocols through by any means necessary...

"The sources close to Chirac...pointed to studies suggesting global development aid would have to be doubled to around $100 billion (64 billion pounds) to really fight poverty, doubled again to around $200 billion (128 billion pounds) to really, really fight poverty and doubled again to around $400 billion (256 billion pounds) to really, really, really fight poverty."

They are communists at heart. They think people are too stupid to think for themselves. They believe people need their enlightend leadership.
Time for the USA to leave the UN, and have the UN leave the shores of the USA.

In other words, bailouts for French loans to third world countries. This seems to be one of the larger obsessions with the WEst Euro political elites. Remember Bono's tour of Africa, foisting the canard how debt relief would help the poor???

I suppose Chirac would have me surrender to the French proposal. Ah, the irony.

I still hold out hope there will be an accounting of the billions already thrown down the rat hole. Who got the money? How did they spend it? I'm betting it lined a lot of pockets. The do-gooders just see that as the cost of doing business.

My guess is we would all be surprised to find how much a portion of other taxes, fees and other siphons of our hard earned pay already go to them. ie. How many of our "Agencies" use part of thier funding to help support UN sponsored or UN associated programs?
They just want more ... and they believe they are reaching a point where they can be out in the open about it and very direct. It is time they were proven totally wrong and that their illegitamacy was driven home by driving them out of the US ... and driving out of office and out of positions of influence and into dark holes and corners all of the glonalist/marxist power mongers abetting them within our own ranks.

Time for the USA to leave the UN, and have the UN leave the shores of the USA. My proposal from last September was to obliterate Kabul and rebuild it into a city called New United Nations. We can teach Afghanis the construction trade, let them build a world-class conference center that is centrally located in Eurasia and is easily accessible from Europe, Asia, and Africa, let a support economy flourish around it, and move the United Nations out of New York and into the new custom-built facility.
Then, we can take the old United Nations building and turn it into a temporary World Trade Center on the East River. It would be ready before any rebuilt facility at Ground Zero, and it has port facilities.
However, the world's ambassadors and leaders would never agree to give up their lifestyles in New York City.

As the French have been told before:
I pray thee, bear my former answer back:
Bid them achieve me and then sell my bones.
