Well not all the state is thrilled with Rendell and I sure hope we let him know it ..
It's not really surprising. Combine growing urban areas with proximity to the N. East liberals and you get a left-ward (dimocrat) leanning electorate. Same thing happened in NJ. Only RINO's get elected to the top offices there. And the abortion crowd is getting very sophisticated in their methods. Like targeting State governors who in and of themselves have little to no DIRECT influence on Roe V Wade, but they are yet in a position to appoint conservative justices who could rise in the ranks to the appellate and Supreme courts. This, the abortion crowd and their fellow leftists understand, is the holy grail -- interpreting the law.
What's your best guess for how high our income tax rate will go up? It's 2.8% now, but I've heard predictions as high as 6% when Rendell is elected. More if he imposes a graduated income tax, with taxes on "the rich" at 8% or more.
Also, no more local tax revenues to fund schools. Local tax revenues will go to the State and redistributed on a "need" basis to school districts statewide.
Why isn't the GOP doing more to publicize the inevitable tax increases and wrecking of our schools that will take place when Rendell is elected?
