Sad that Perle lost his life and too bad for "if he wanted to change the world" he was so naive & ill prepared that he has only become a victim of illogical thinking...should have gotten a real profession.

Wasn't referring to Perle but rather to his wife's statement. Her conception of journalists changing the world is one which I have heard from leftist journalists before. It is not a new statement with her. The direction in which such journalists overwhelmingly wish to change the world (left) has a negative effect upon their coverage of events which they rarely, if ever, acknowledge. This has nothing to do with Perle's murder, and I did not connect Mariane's statement with his murder in any way.
