“It’s unbelievably incongruous to support animal cruelty at an event to help animals,” [PETA spokesman] Friedrich said.

“If we are eating meat, we are promoting animal cruelty.”

Uh, huh.

I bet this shelter gets a lot of out of area donations from PETA-haters. The Humane Society of the United States is another radical animal rights organization that works behind the scenes.

I wish people would just build up enough intestinal fortitude to tell PETA to shut up and get lost.

I have news for them, there are a lot of animals, eating meat. They need to go out and protest in the forests.

Two national animal- rights groups have targeted shelters specifically asking them to offer vegetarian meals at fund-raisers, he added.

Oh yeah, that'll bring som many more people to the fundraisers...yep....

Kee-righst, folks. It's SOOO simple. Don't give the PETA idiots ANY PRESS WHATSOEVER! Nothing! Zip! Zero! Nada! No press releases. No press. Then watch 'em slink away like the vermin they are! SSZ

Why doesn't PETA just hold a Tofu Roast across town and see who raises the most money?

Yep, HSUS is just PETA with a suit and tie.

They are not to be confused however with local Humane Societies who run animal shelters. They are completely unrelated.

I have news for them, there are a lot of animals, eating meat.

Too right, all the dogs I've ever owed are eager carnivores. Their favorite table scraps have always been meat. It's the natural way, and these "vegans" can't change it.

HSUS and local humane societies *are* completely unrelated. But HSUS trades off the good works done by local humane societies to advance its anti-pet agenda.

HSUS is behind a new law in Virginia that forces anyone fostering dogs or cats in their homes to submit to warrantless searches without probable cause.

Famous Dave's? You can't be serious, Steveo.

If Famous Dave's was the ONLY resturant in Dead Moines, I'd be a vegan. Home of (IMHO) the worst sauce this side of hell.

Followed very closely by Nab's in Sioux City.

I believe we (the rational, considerate, thinking) population should capture the PETA types and force them to eat meat. Sh!t, they want to force us to their beliefs. Turn-about is fair play.

I am serious. Why should they be allowed to affect my life. If they want to abstain from meat, it is fine with me, but I am getting awfully friggin tired of these fringe minority lunatic types making demands of me.

I think it is time we folks who pay the freight for the rest of the slackards in this country take our country back!
