The White House didn't bother sending anyone out over the holiday weekend. I can't say as I blame them.

Face the Nation might be the most interesting. I would love to see Racicot take a scalpel to McAuliffe.

What I find facinating is the fact that the only Republicans they ever want are the ones that bash the President. Chuck Hagel has won my complete wrath lately. Another thing - remember how gung-ho McCain was on going to Iraq? Now that the President could use his support, he is dead silent and chuckling in a corner somewhere. IMHO, Hagel has been carrying McCain's water - just "get" the President. Hagel has been criticizing not only President Bush but VP Cheney, as well. Tomorrow, he is the guest of honor on Hunt and Shields - what a surprise. One more thing - Dick Armey can take a flying leap. And too bad Powell doesn't have the guts to make his own case but depends on an unnamed aide to dis the President. Am I pissed off? Yup!

NBC: Fred Thompson, Lawrence Eagleburger, Nita Lowey, Tom DavisThis one will be a joke too Thompson will be talking about his new TV role as the token conservative on West Wing.
Eagleburger will be doing his best Neville Chamberland role and Nite Lowey, God only knows what will come out of her mouth.

Hagel's main claim to fame is that he is a dissident Republican, the heir to John McCain when he finally disintegrates. Accordingly, the press just loves him and encourages him to do more of it.
I'm not that worried about it. Bush doesn't need McCain's support for Iraq. Bush isn't ready to attack Iraq right away, anyhow, but the Democrats will be completely afraid of opposing Bush.
Nobody is going to watch much this weekend, so whatever is said won't get much attention. I think things are under control.

You are right, of course. I just think it's important to point out the publicity hounds in our own party as well as the ones that mean our President harm. Hagel is the new media-darling. Here's what I think: when President Bush comes out to make his case to the American people, he will win back all but the most hateful RATS. He will come out prepared, straight-talking and armed. I hope he makes some ads out of the hate-America first RAT comments before the election. Alas, he's probably too nice to do that. I, on the other hand, am turning into one spiteful b*tch! LOL!

May I add my total agreement and add one more- Ret.Gen. Zinni. Bush made him a special envoy to the ME to mediate peace, quite an honor. And how does Gen. Zinni thank the President? By giving a speech in FL and saying that, " isn't it interesting, that those who have never fired a shot in anger, are the most gung ho to go to war" and getting a big laugh.Very professional way to treat your Commander in Chief, Gen Zinni-my skin crawled when I heard the audio tape. Chuck Hagel has morphed into McCain II-nasty and loony- I heard him basically say in an interview, that Bush should be impeached for invading Iraq. Dick Armey is a publicity whore-and loving every minute. He of the "Barney Fag" comment, is now the second coming of Winston Churchill. Powell was someone whose political idealogy I did not agree with, but considered him to be a man of honor-but,no more. Any of these men could have called the President privately and spoken frankly, if they had concerns. They have shown the world, their true mettle- shameless self promoters, without an ounce of honor or integrity.

So would I but, as usual, he'll be Mr. Nice Guy as Terry spews his lies.

I think Terry might be in for a surprise. We'll see.

First Fox was talking about Conservative Fred Thompson. Would a Conservative vote for Campaingn finance or put a deadline on an oversite commitee NO!! Second on Hagel he said anyone who did not serve in a war should not comment or go into one!! Where did he stand on Kosovo or Afganistan?
