The response of the homosexual Left to Dr. Cameron has been a brutal full-court press. However, he is still a licensed mental health professional. Dr. Cameron has done a great deal of original research into this topic, but due to the fact that some of it is not methodologically sound, for the sake of argument all of Dr. Cameron's original work should be disregarded.
However, Dr. Cameron's summaries of research by other mental health professionals is accurate and very useful. Where Dr. Cameron summarizes the work of Bell & Weinberg, or Jay & Young, or Marshall et al., those summaries are 100% accurate and they expose the very real problems with homosexual lifestyles.
Dr. Judith Reisman has arrived on the scene recently and she is a paid consultant (along w ith Dr. Timothy Dailey) for a similar organization, the Family Research Council -- their website can be found at the link below:
Like Dr. Cameron, Drs. Reisman and Dailey have provided valuable and accurate summaries of research by many other licensed mental health professionals. When they are faced with a solid phalanx of scientific facts, the homosexual Left will attack the messenger rather than attempting to refute the message.
In fact, I'm convinced that this tactic appears on Page Six of the Official Left-Wing Playbook. The facts are there and they are accurate. The only thing that the Left can do is attack the people who gathered these facts.
There's also another excellent resource that I'd like to provide -- the website for another organization called the Citizens for Parents' Rights. All three of these (CPR, FRC and FRI) will be dismissed by the homosexual Left as "right wing" and CPR openly identifies its Christian philosophy. But the information that they have gathered (with the sole exception of Dr. Cameron's original research) is accurate.
