Cool down. Gee, all he has to do (or his campaign chiefs) is to disavow his answers to the gay lobby the other day. That should be pretty easy to do. If he asserts/affirms that he is pro-family and takes back some of the more perditious answers to the survey, why then his conservative support will come back.

Should be simple enough.

I think that letter form State Senator Haynes (available on this forum) is more than sufficient in that regard.

I'm sick of all this third-party discussion. I'm sick of back-stabbing of candidates who are conservative, but might disagree on one issue or another with some element or another. I don't like it when the moderates do it (I was fully supportive of Mudboy Slim's effort to find a challenger for John Warner for stabbing Ollie North in the back), and I would be taking a hypocritical stand if I did not speak out when the backstabbing of a nominee comes from the right. I'm taking a stand on this.

Even if Simon might not be 100% on this matter, he's a clear improvement over Gray Davis on other issues, and I support him fully. Why should we throw away a chance at progress in these other areas?
