Jackie is a very funny guy, but for him to be so blatant racist like that is unacceptable. After all, the guy is a Vietnam vet, give him a break! Viet Vet? Graduated from HS in '71 and then some college then the AF as a dental specialist. Only got a Vietnam Era ribbon as the war wound down. He calls the Bush administration racist fanatics and calls Jews terrorists.

There was no talk in the article that the 2'nd comic's show had politics in it at all. It is just pure racism on the part of mason. Perhaps you should read his columns. He considers the Bush administration to be racist fanatics and calls Jews terrorists.

H really IS a comedian. That piece he wrote is laughable. Mason is right on this one after all, when all facts are brought to light.
I find it curious how he tries to paint Israel as anit-Christian. When Muslims controlled Jerusalem, Jerusalem was for Muslims only. Since Israel has been in control, Jerusalem has been open to Christians.
Lastly, Christian churches are clowing up, and the worshippers in them being shot in Pakistan, not Israel.

Should've taken longer to proofread -sorry!

he deserves the bad PR I agree. This is not the Middle East. This is American where the founding idea of our nation is adherence to an ideal of republicanism, not of a blood line.

Do you agree that his show should be opened by someone that 1) considers the Bush administration racist fanatics, 2) calls Jews terrorists, 3) considers Rumsfeld a dimwit?

Anyone who knows Jackie Mason's steick (which is just so Inside Jewish to begin with) can probably see why this is an impossible situation for him.
Not to say that it isn't funny to watch people hoisted on their own petard.

I heard this guy interviewed on the Curtis and Kuby show on the radio this morning. His religion and wife are as stated.
I don't know about the Protestant vs. other Christian breakdown, but the fact that a large number of non-Muslims are leaving the Islamic hells created by Islamic invasions is no surprise. Egypt has a large proportion (10%?) of the population still practising Coptic Christianity, an odler form of Christianity than Cahtolicism, and a very small Roamn Catholic population. Up to several decades ago, there was a large Catholic population in the chaos that has become Lebanon. There are various Orthodox and Roamn Catholic populations in what was once British Palestine. Iraq contains a large Chaldean Christian population, there are small numbers of Indian and Pakistani Christians, Sudanese Christians, and Nigerian Christians. IN addition, there are small numbers of Zoroastrians from Iran - the practitioners of the world's first monotheistic religion, Sihks, Ba'hais, and various other religious groups, all suffering under the ponderous Islamic yoke who elect to migrate here in search of freedom from persecution.
Islam is evil. Its practitioners fanatic intolerant monsters or blind and ignorant followers. It is not a "peaceful" religion under ANY interpretation of that word and Muslims should not be allowed to enter this country or remain here. They, their religion, and their cultural practises are a threat and an affront to everything western civilization has come to stand for - a pluralistic, humanistic, tolerant society based on the dignity of the individual and freedom of individual conscience. Islam is a greater threat to us than the Soviet Empire ever was, and the sooner we, our leaders, the rest of the western world, the emerging Chinese and the Japanese recognize this, the safer we will all be.

What he does is his own business. I just wouldn't make public the kind of reasoning that he is using. Not in America!

Were I Mason, I would have given the guy a chance. If he did not do a good job, or if he made an Anti-Jewish comment, I would then demand his removal from the bill. I would also be raking my booking agent over the coals for putting me in that situation. You are right, of course... But what if the the Anti-Jewish comment was made in jest and very funny as well?
Sort of mirror image Mason?

I will never be confused with any kind of support for a bastard religon like islam, but to the best of my knowledge and I might be wrong, this guy isn't muslim, he's a vietnam veteran, and he is as american as you can get. The guy has a legitimate claim to be upset. Imagine if you were a american vietnam veteran and christian and we're discriminated against because of the misdeeds of your blood. Then again, this is america, I guess its always okay to discriminate against christians. (That part was sarcasm).

he's a vietnam veteran,He was a AF dental specialist in the mid-70's. Probably NEVER saw Vietnam. He thinks Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld are racist fanatics (his words) and call the Jew terrorist and statest the Palestines are merely reacting to Jewish provocation.

He got that right, too. Really? Come on Joe, don't limit your responses to just agreeing with the Pally, let it all hang out.
You and all these other sympathizers amaze me - where IN ANY LAW does it say that Jackie has to use this guy? Would all you people be bitching if the situation were reversed? And the Pally didn't want to use a known Zionist for his opening act becuase it would upset his audience? OFCOURSE NOT.
IT'S CALLED COMMON SENSE; MUCH LIKE GEORGE W. BUSH WOULDN'T HAVE HILLARY CLINTON GIVE OPENING REMARKS DURING HIS PRESEDENTIAL CAMPAIGN - IT'S NOT RACISM, IT'S COMPLETELY CONFLICTING IDEAS.
Stop beating the racist drum, please, you are getting most tiresome.
