Rudy certainly seems to have undergone some conversion this year. Campaigning for Davis in California, now endorsing Smith in New Hampshire. With the qualified possible exception of Pataki and GW, I cannot remember Rudy advocating the election any conservative.

If Sununu really is as moderate as some say, it would seem natural for Giuliani to endorse him, especially if the polls suggest that Sununu has a better chance of defeating Shaheen. But then there is that one-issue ever vital to NY politicians with future state or national ambitions.
