I have a monumental respect for the Danes of WW2 who, unlike their complacent or even malicious neighbors, took such good care of their Jewish citizens before Hitler could get his hands on them.

I agree with that. And I have a monumental respect for the Americans of WW2 who, unlike many complacent or even malicious Europeans, and despite the burden of a major war in Asia, took on Hitler and freed the continents of Europe and Asia, AFTER Hitler got his hands on them.
