This should be required reading #101, for every black student in America, and the subject of a few sermons in every Black Church as well. If this truth ever is absorbed by a majority of African Americans and put into practice, there will be no achievement gap between the races, except maybe us whites running to try and keep up.

The largest majority of whites, want nothing more earnestly than seeing our black brothers and sisters excelling and full participants in the American dream. Success in the lives of all citizens, makes the dream that much more enjoyable for everyone. An Eden or even a Heaven, would be impossible to enjoy if some stood outside looking in.

White people, even if they wanted to hold Blacks back and rob them of their opportunity at success, have not one iota of power to pull it off. Those of us who wish all races (American's all) best wishes for success and happiness, are very limited in the power to be of much help, the American dream is a life long trip, that depends most of all upon each individuals determination and committment.

We don't refuse to root for black sports stars,just because they are not of our race, we cheer their success. THey can jump-most of us can't jump as well-are we jealous-bet your bippie we are, but that doesn't stop us from respecting and admiring their abilities and the salary it commands, or cheering their victories. Why would things be any different in the business world-the highest jumper still commands the most respect and the highest salary. Only an idiot in the business world would pass up the best for second best, just because second best looked more like him.
