Biscuit Fire expected to be contained Monday
August 25, 2002
PORTLAND - Fire bosses say they expect full containment on the Biscuit Fire in southwest Oregon by tomorrow. That's when they predict they can have the 300-mile line around the fire completed.
The fire has burned nearly 500,000 acres since lightening started it about six weeks ago.
However fire information officer Susan Mathison says containment does not mean the fire is out. She says it could still ignite and spread until the first serious rain.
She said interior burning within the fire line, which ranges from one foot to 30 feet in width, can continue.

This is good news re the containment.
However, remember the former Kalmiopsis wilderness is still burning and smoldering. They can't go into the wilderness to extinguish what is burning.
This is a Good Fire as per the Mentally Ill Fire Ecologists. It was a lightening fire, so, it is a good fire and can't be put out until nature does it. That will be when the first serious rains fall.

Investigators: Siuslaw River fire may have been set
EUGENE - Fire investigators said Friday that the Siuslaw River fire near Eugene may have been intentionally set.
The announcement marks the first time this season that fire officials have suspected an Oregon fire of being intentionally set.
Officials are also investigating whether several fires over the last three years in Lane County were also intentionally set, possibly by the same person or people, said Rick Rogers, Western Lane District forester.
"The causes of several of these fires are unexplained," said Rogers. "We're asking the community to assist us in gathering information."
The fire 30 miles southwest of Eugene has scorched nearly 850 acres and cost more than $1.5 million to fight, said Incident Commander Jim Mair. Four firefighters have been injured while working the blaze, he said.
The fire was contained Friday after erupting Aug. 17.
Anyone with information about the fire is urged to call the tip line at 1-877-888-7343.
So did a tree hugger/root sucker set this fire and then participate in the Riot in Portland?
Time to start rounding up the criminally insane Green Jihadists, try them, find them guilty of crimes against Americans, and lock them up for a couple of decades.

Your welcome Dave, and a big welcome back, but I had plenty of help. No one can take your place here. This has become your own little (huge) newsletter. (I think Bush must have read of few of your threads by the sound of his speech)!
Ya got so much style and flavor and good ranting skills, Grampa :=).

Well what do you know. As I was typing my last post, they had an update and lots of film on the Biscuit Fire here on Arizona's local morning show (GMAZ). Isn't that special. The day they're getting control on it, they finally find it newsworthy. We can thank Bush for bringing this issue to the front page.

It is amazing how the various local and national so called tv news outfits spike and ignore news until it is to their benefit.
The real story was when thousands were put on notice that they might have to leave their homes. Now it is the end of a news story without the reality of what that fire has done to the innocents living around it.
As you noted, if not for President Bush and his Medford talk, few people would have even know about it.

Good morning Dave and thanks as usual for the update on the largest rural cleansing effort by the eco-nazis this year.
Hopefully containment means just that, and we are on the way to seeing this go out.
On another note, you all in Oregon are to be commended for your Billboard effort to broadcast eco-nazi complicity in all the fires this year.

Thanks for the picture of Glutton and the other Tree Huggers of Oregon.
This is an automatic in my file of great cartoons that tell the reality of their insanity.
It appears that some very good political cartoonists have smelt the smoke and seen the fires that a result of this insane behavior of the tree hugging Green Jihadists. That is great as they have a zero sense of humor. These cartoons help to wake up conservatives and moderates who have a brain and soul to the dangers of the Watermelon Tree Hugging Green Jihadists!

It is amazing how the various local and national so called tv news outfits spike and ignore news until it is to their benefit.
Mainstream reporters, journalists and their publisher/employers know that doors are not opened nor remain opened if they intend to publish the crimes and frauds of the people behind the doors they want access to. For instance, instead of reporting the government fraud that facilitated the Greens they report on how the government is solving the fire problem--extinguishing the fire. Bad news only counts when it's not bad news about government or mainstream media.

Actually, Glutton is a little younger, but he would hug-a-stump in a minute... :o)
That is a great cartoon, I saved it for future use...
Stop the attacks by the wacko, extreme left-wing, lunatic fringe, dirt worshipping, stump-huggin', Green Jihadist, enviro-nazis terrorist's and their toadies in the media, on our Freedoms !!

Zon as usual, you have nailed this when it comes to the manipulation of news and spiking of news by the mediots!

You have a freep mail from me re the BB and the worker bees.

That particular cartoon is my favorite because it show the idiot hugging the tree. The only way to kick it up to a higher level is to show the dead animals in a forest fire and have PETA looking up saying "Who do we protest, the tree huggers or Mother Nature." My reply would be the UN Heritage Plan administrators.
