Although he was sent to prison, seems Torcielli and the Clintons got off easy.

This made me wonder what happened to Condit? Does he plan to run as an independent?

I asked this same question when Condit lost the primary. I was told by a CA Freeper that CA has a loser law. Meaning, if you lose in a primary, you cannot switch party affiliation and run in the general as a spoiler.

Condit's toast.

Condit lost the primary and most states have a sore loser law, which means lose your primary you can't run in November as an independent. Traficant did not run in the primary because he has gone independent. Hence avoiding slugging it out with Congressman Sawyer of Akron who lost the primary to polirical neophyte Ryan from the Youngstown area (due to redistricitng Youngswtown and Akron where put in the same district..

So incumebnt Dems. Sawyer and Condit are running for nothing in November while Traficant is. Say what you will about him, but he's no dummy.
