Would you mind linking to a copy of the book or at least giving the full name of the author?

Will by G. Gordon Liddy.

I thought EVERYBODY knew who the G-Man is.

Also Traficant said a lot harsher things about Janet Reno and the sellout of American satellite secrets by the Clintonistas to the Chinese for cash than the Republicans in Congress dared say.

How did he vote on impeachment?

How did he vote on impeachment?

Makes no difference. His speeches were way more condemnatory of the Clinton gang than anything I heard from the Republicans.

..."Talk is cheap. When the rubber hit the road, he ran"....

Would his running be any worse than the 55 +/- Republican Senators who unanimously agreed to a kangaroo trial as the Democrats demanded?

They could have held a 12 month trial with thousands of witnesses and it would not have changed the result because no RATS would vote against their hero.

When he had a chance to vote on impeachment in the House, Traficant voted with his fellow RATS and in support of their hero.

I do hope he wins the primary, but I don't see him as a hero to conservatives.

He ran? All Traficant had to do was keep his criticisms in check during his trial. Instead, he let the judge know he was railroaded even though he knew it meant getting the book thrown at him. I don't consider getting an eight year prison sentence something "cheap."

I'm not talking about the criminal trial. I'm talking about how he voted on impeachment.

To recap, Traficant voted against impeachment, he voted for permanent retention of instant background check documents, he voted to lift the embargo on Cuba, he voted to maintain the ban on drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, he voted to force the Boy Scouts to reinstate gay scout leaders, he voted for Clinton Ergonomic rules, and he voted against school vouchers.

I would vote to put him in jail for eight years just based on these votes.(/sarcasm)

YAWN! I can take a handful of votes of almost any politician and make him look liberal. BTW, many votes are nothing more than procedural votes. What really counts is what he SAID on the floor of Congress. I could see the Demmycrats CRINGING when he attacked Janet Reno and Clinton.

Well...the vote against the embargo (a counterproductive limit on free trade) was a good one. Other than that, pretty bad.

I said nothing about conviction, 07055.....the Republican senatorial caucus unanimously agreed (meaning every single one of them) to hold a Democrat-style trial.

BTW, I'm not talking about heros......just honesty in government.

Regards...

Was it worse? Well, I seem to recall that at least 45 of those senators ultimately voted to remove Clinton from office. So, I would say that any who voted to acquit Clinton are just as bad as Traficant who, despite a lot of hot air, voted against impeachment.
