DANG!  This thread was up to 192 before I ever got a ping.  So, I'll add MY two cents worth.

Umpteen years ago, I had THIS applied to my skis.....  It ALWAYS made for an interesting ride on the ski lift!

NIV Job 13:27
 27.  You fasten my feet in shackles; you keep close watch on all my paths by putting marks on the soles of my feet.

NIV Titus 1:15
 15.  To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

NIV 1 Corinthians 1:25
 25.  For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

NIV Philippians 1:15-18
 15.  It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.
 16.  The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.
 17.  The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.
 18.  But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.   Yes, and I will continue to rejoice......

NIV Job 22:15
 15.  Will you keep to the old path that evil men have trod?

NIV Job 24:13
 13.  "There are those who rebel against the light, who do not know its ways or stay in its paths.

NIV Psalms 16:11
 11.  You have made  known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

NIV Psalms 77:19
 19.  Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.

NIV Proverbs 5:21
 21.  For a man's ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all his paths.

Incomplete definitions of repentance are dangerous. The sandals/sunglasses/urinal's inventor's church's link to Christiangay.com says: If you read John 3:16 carefully you will notice that God's love has no conditions. You'll also see that the only condition in this verse of scripture has to do with everlasting life. The condition for everlasting life is that you must believe in Jesus Christ. This is called salvation. (No, this is called selecting some verses while ignoring others. After all, Even the devils believe and tremble. Then Christiangay.com says: Repent: The Greek word for repent means: to change one's mind (heart) for the better. So, when you repent you are changing your mind from wanting to live your life without Jesus to living a life with Jesus as your Lord.

No.
1) to change one's mind, i.e. to repent
2) to change one's mind for better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one's past sins

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Luke 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Luk 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Luk 12:3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

Luk 12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Luk 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Maybe the idea for the sandals and the Lennon sunglasses came from a visit to Sandals All Inclusive Resort where

While I wouldn't wear them either, I guess it could be worse. Isn't that a non-comment comment?

I just remember several years ago when I bought a bicycle at a bike shop. At the time of purchase, we didn't have an ID. We asked the owner if we needed to provide an ID. The owner said well at least y'all don't have a little fish on your check. I asked what that meant. He said that every check he got with the little fish on it was a bad check. As a christian, I was pretty embarassed.

A sick man turned to his doctor, as he was leaving the room after paying a housecall,
and said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side."

Very quietly the doctor said, "I don't know."

"You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?"

The doctor was holding the handle of the door; on the other side of which came a
sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the door a dog sprang into the room
and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said, "Did you notice my dog? He's never been
in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that
his master was here, and when the door opened he sprang in without fear. I know
little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing: I know my
Master is there, and that is enough. And when the door opens, I shall pass through
with no fear, but with gladness."

NIV Matthew 7:21-23
21. "Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22. Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'
23. Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

I've sometimes regretted my Christian license plates "THXB2JC" - I'm forced to drive like one. Some rush hours, I'd like to be able to hit a switch & flip them to "EFF OFF".

I know what you mean!

Put a 'fish' on your vehicle and it improves your driving.

Go figure!

If this sparks another round of hearing that footprints poem every sunday I'll have to kill someone.

I liked it once, but after hearing 5000 times it's just way too worn out for me.

Have you seen this version? A friend sent it to me and I howled with laughter, having grown tired of the footprints poem, myself. A different kind of print in the sand...

Of course, it may offend some, but at the time, it was just what I needed to hear.

Thanks. It was good, and I hope it doesn't get ruined by over-use.

Yes, and I have the 'Butt prints in the sand" poem printed out and in my planner. :)

What would be really cool are shoes you can pick your own message for.

Just when you think every good idea has been taken...

Sadly, I can imagine other less worthy phrases being written in the sand.
