Noting that the FCC is responsible for enforcing laws banning "obscene, indecent or profane" broadcast

If the St. Patrick's incident doesn't qualify as "obscene, indecent or (and) profane", we might just as well shut down the FEC.

I think the FCC should be able to enforce its own regs, on its own schedule, without worrying whether anyone else is enforcing theirs.

This is their domain. Criminal prosecution is someone else's. Firing priests is also someone else's.

They hit the trifecta with this one incident and they deserve to have their license revoked, with prejudice!
