Hrmm...
I work for a Japanese-owned company and a number of Japanese managers reside here. I've never witnessed or heard about any abusive treatment from management, however. They're all typically pretty nice people, and no one 'bows' or calls them 'san'.
Perhaps you are only seeing what you want to see.

Listen, don't worry about some of these posters and their limited exposure to many average Japanese 60 years later in the 21st century. I can appreciate anger and unforgiveness toward countless Imperial Dai Nippon Teikoku Rikugun Japanese officers or soldiers in the previous century and have no illusions about many many atrocities committed in East Asia under the Emperor under the old State Shinto-expansionist-fascist system that we mightily crushed and replaced with a MacArthur Peace Constitution and modern democracy. We indeed fought evil and GOOD prevailed....
What really makes the thread instructive is that FR would never allow a thread to go along this long with nine (count 'em, nine) 'niggers' (sic) and one 'kike' (sic) mentioned (the Moderator would be plenty busy deleting posts or the thread). But on FR, we have the double standard around here where you can say 'little yellow bastards' (sic) [in previous threads left to stand as-is on FR] or 'japs' (sic) or 'nips' (sic) --even referring to modern day Japanese who had nothing to do with those days-but could never get away with 'little black bastards' (sic) or the 'n' word. It's of course selective application of the rules against racist posts here on FR. Japanese (and other Asians) are fair game, while hispanics and black Americans are 'off limits'. Or at least it seems that way.
(Epithets above for effect only).

Agreed. I also work for a Japanese company (for the last 20 years) and have always been well treated. Of course, working with them every day for 20 years I undoubtedly know a lot less about them than some of folks expressing strong negative opinions on here.......
