BERLIN (AP) — About 2,500 neo-Nazis attended a rally Saturday in memory of Adolf Hitler's deputy Rudolf Hess in the southern German town where he is buried, police said.
The rally in the Bavarian town of Wunsiedel passed without violence, police said, despite the presence of about 500 counter-demonstrators. A total of 34 people were detained for weapons offenses and displaying symbols banned in Germany, such as the Nazi swastika.
Police said they had 1,000 officers on duty to keep the two sides apart.
The far-right gathering took place after a state court overturned a ban by local authorities — the second year in a row that judges have ruled that the march could go ahead.
Hess, who committed suicide in Berlin's Spandau prison 15 years ago, is a martyr to the extreme-right.

Hmmm... you know, the inhabitants of papua used to generate a drink that would make the intrepid guzzler a witch-doctor. But you're right in a sense - keeping tabs on Mr. lied IS a trip into the jungle ;).
Maybe the two groups could have a rally together next time. That way they could all die with there hands around each others throats and the rest of us, of all ethnicities, can get back to building the greatist civilization in the histoy of mankind.
Keep in mind that 2,500 attendees is significant. The original group started with a whole lot fewer than that. And, too, Europe is facing the problem of cultural and racial sub-groups that aren't integrating with the original society. This creates internal pressures and resentments which are ideal for recruiting to radical groups. Should the global economy worsen significantly, we could see substantial increases...
We can see some effects right now. The Sitzkrieg on Iraq is likely to remain a war of words...without any allies, it seems improbable that we'll go it alone. We could, but we won't. And the Arabs...surely they'll perceive this as isolating the US?
So...do they start a lot more terrorist activities inside the US? Do they decide to try another attack on Israel?
Seriously, I think we'd be wise to remain aware of the neo-Nazi movement. Hitler is dead, but his ideas are not. And in conjunction with resurgent islam, it might be more powerful than anyone expects.
Nah. It's sort of an understandable viewpoint, but keep in mind that these critters are at a war of sorts - with FreeRepublic. There is a continous attempt to take over this forum for purposes of propaganda and recruitment, and as long as they're left to do their dirty little job, you may be faced with having FreeRepublic on the various hate-site lists, a steady influx of nazi garbage from the boards where they congregate, and so on and so forth. Truth is, many of these folks are far from harmless and having them here represents very real risks.

That is an interesting question, and a significant one.
Shortly after 9.11, voices on sites like Vanguard News Network (run by the Nazi Alex Linder) began making statements like "You wouldn't want one of these Arab fellow to marry your daughter, but you have to respect anyone who have the guts to crash airplanes into buildings full of Jews". Almost immediately, most other Nazi sites took up the theme, some very loudly, some not so overtly. But by February 2002, most of them linked to at least one Jihad or PLO site. And on several Nazi forums (Polinco being an example) Nazi "intellectuals" were calling for a program of cooperation with Radical Islam against "the common enemy".

Add in Democrats refusal to allow drilling in ANWR or most any other use of American natural resources and one has to conclude there are many who are working against America's war on terror.

Lieberman threatening to filibuster ANWR is a threat. Kids playing Nazi in Germany are meaningless.
This is indeed, significant. Since it is traditional, for neo-Nazis to hate those of dark skin, it is clear to see, that the tie that binds these two groups is the practice of evil.
