Jennifer Granholm has plans for your taxes. She won’t be specific. She won’t spell it all out. All she’ll say is that your property taxes need a “tweak.”

Jennifer Granholm is promising to “fix” Proposal A, the landmark proposal that cut property taxes and capped assessments. She says that all it really needs is a little “tweak.” But we know what that means, don’t we?

With a liberal Democrat like Jennifer Granholm, Tweak=Hike

Let me clue you in.

No matter who is elected governor in any state (Rep or Dem), immediately after the election they will be calling for big increases in state taxes to close the state budget gaps and state pension fund shortfalls.

If that is true, why do you spend so much time cutting down only the Republican candidates?

Stop Tweak? You are only going to stress the kid out more.

Great site, BTW.

Well, they already raised the cig tax, and Granholm told the Lansing State Journal that she wanted Proposal A changed to allow higher school taxes.

She said that BEFORE the election.

I know that. I LIVE here.

You know, if the Federal government would not tax so much of our money away, a State's taxpayers might be a whole lot more amenable to modest State tax increases.

If I spent my time cutting down Democrats, I would be "preaching to the choir".

I believe the state and local governments (ALL of them) spend much more of their money unethically than the feds.

I'd say the States are spending money in accordance with the 10th Amendment, in contrast to much of domestic Federal spending, such as education and forest management.
