1. Prostitution is generally regulated by state law. New York State Penal Law Section 230.25 makes it a Class D felony when someone "knowingly advances or profits from prostitution by managing, supervising, controlling or owning ... a prostitution business or enterprise ". To knowingly advance or profit from prostitution is a class A misdemeanor under Section 230.20.
2. Federal RICO statutes make it illegal to act in concert with other people or organizations to promote prostitution in violation of state law.
The DA's should prosecute this as a RICO case in Federal Court...A sexual act for profit and a violation of the Mann Act.

Way to go, there, ijcr. This thing is building.
The disgusting duo of radio personalities of Opy and Anthony behind this went on the air about a half an hour ago. Totally cowering now because their lawyers have told them to shut up. I honestly believe they are afraid their contracts will be voided or they will lose their jobs. Amazing the difference a day can make. Yesterday frollicking on the air, encouraging the payment of sex acts and then re-broadcasting them on air, laughing about the acts being successfully pulled off in a church, and now today they are like whipped puppies with their tails between their legs.
Ramp up full force for a mega freep and let's get these scum kicked off the air and their contracts' voided. They will turn on each other when money is involved; the broadcaster will only support them to a point. The FCC, the criminal investigative divisions in NYC, etc. are all the appropriate pressure points. Good point about conspiracy and RICO, too.
