The fact that this IS a free country is exactly the reason why Scanna shouldn't be allowed to make such a decision as this. Or does the U.S. constitution not apply once you enter Scanna facilities?

Corporations try this BS all of the time. I bet you'd feel differently if you were Catholic and Scanna had declared that you had to remove that crucifex from around your neck before coming to work or if you were Jewish and Scanna declared that you could not wear your kippot in the office.

Corporations have absolutely no authority to suspend anyones god given rights and constitutional priveledges. In fact my company like many others specifically has a line in their employee handbook prohibiting any type of weapon on the premises. Well, I carry concealed to the office every single day, they can go stuff it! I'm sick of corporations who think they are some sort of global corporate manifestation above the law and out of reach of the U.S. Constitution. They are no such thing, if they are corporations in this country and they are publicly owned then the constitution holds just as true within their premises as it does anywhere else! To these corporations who dream of being a part of the liberl elite globalist economy and trample on our Constitution I say close up shop pack your bags and get the hell out!

Don't go shooting no cop who tries to pull you over for speeding like that one guy did last week. Also - if your employer found out - they would have the right to fire your ass, and there is nothing you can do about it. If you live in an at-will state, they can cut you for any reason except the following:

Race or Color
Age
National Origin
Sex
Religion

Which are FEDERAL protected classes. Some states and cities have more protected classes. I don't think any would include "FIREARM OWNER".

i am too! if everyone who felt like you and i would quit their jobs (OK OK NOW is not the time), then these companies would have to rethink their thoughts. corporations are there to make money for the shareholders -- not to further some socialistic agenda.

i choose my own circumstances most of the time. i know the rules of companies and can either stay with them or leave them. it is my choice. no government should be strong enough to place rules on companies. if the workers and shareholders knew what was going on and had the backbone to act, these companies would straighten out right away.

besides my k-mart example, i toss out martha stewart as another example where shareholders have strongly spoken against her criminal acts.
