[history]
Indianola, Ia. - When Sherry Herold and four of her fellow church members change out of their Sunday clothes, they put on their shooting vests.
They really do praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.
They're the Mount Calvary Church Ladies Trapshooting Team.

"I find that I dance better with a shotgun"...Is this called Shotgun Dancing or what they do at a "Shotgun Wedding"?
To: tarawa

Hey Ma, is that the same one your dad used during our wedding?

My mom is a crack shot with a 20 gauge. My dad gave it to her on their 10th wedding anniversary.

Awesome story! I just recently took my sister trap shooting for the very first time. It was such a pleasure to introduce someone to the sport.

Both my parents have sort of put hunting aside now in their later years, but I remember shooting with my parents as a kid. My poor dad was always the shooter of last resort. If the bird was missed by me, and by my mom, my dad would take it. I've never met anyone who could come close to my pop for shooting, but my mom was as good or better than any of the guys I hunt with.

option to women who are concerned about their self-defense. However, all women regardless of experience level - are
welcome to attend!
Ladies, we hope to see you Saturday, August 24th. Gentlemen, please spread the word to the women in your life invite them
to join us for a day of fun!
Thanks, and please contact me with any questions or to reserve your spot! Space is limited.

"My husband agreed that if I tried the trap shooting team, he would take swing-dancing lessons with me, and he did," Gould said. "I've discovered I dance better with a shotgun." I just passed this on as an email quote of the day. Priceless!
