A Romanian prisoner cut off both his little toes and ate them after he heard his girlfriend had married another man.
Neculai Berariu is serving a seven-year sentence at Timisoara prison in Timis county for stealing cars.
The 27-year-old said: "I wanted to shock everybody. I cut my toes with a knife and ate them raw.
"I also took a piece of flesh from my thigh, I fried it on some burned papers and ate it too."
The National newspaper says his ex-girlfriend has emigrated to Germany with her new husband.
He says he'll never mutilate his body again.

Also just read someplace about kids breaking in to a mortuary to soak cough'in nails in embalming fluid.
Couldn't find any fluid, so they decided to do the next best thing. They cut a finger off a dead body and
tried to smoke it. And I don't think it was the kind of smoking one does to hams, salmon, or sausages.
