Spare me. Real crimes are being committed all over the place while cops are pulling over speeders to generate revenue.
It may be a traffic violation, but hardly on par with crimes like burglary, rape and murder.

Well, speeding up to a certain speed, isn't a "crime" at all, but an "infraction", at least in NC. I didn't mean to belabor the point. But they do serve a purpose. Think of the traffic fatalities if LEO's suddenly stopped pulling everybody over. Everybody's insurance skyrocket then. They may generate revenue, but that doesn't detract from their purpose of public safety.
That being said, I really have no interest in debating traffic laws anyway--at least not today; my heart's not in it. If you want me to say you're right, then "you're right" and let's be done with it. :-)

Without that source of revenue, where would that portion of the police budget come from to hire the cops to handle the, "...crimes like burglary, rape and murder.
