Hey everybody, don't start spouting about homeland defense, you might be costrued as a costitutionalist, seems like matthews did that quite often and aided by the atf and their vermin died for it in the end.You can talk about rap sheets,ATF,the constitution, even militias was mentioned, let me tell you,it is not us the american people that are the problem,it is the government and their desire to contol the populace.Put on your tin foil or whatever else you need for we are all falling down the slippery slope, except matthews, for a moment he clinged to the rim, before he fell forever.A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do,that doesn't make him right or wrong.

Not at all. But ideologues are by definition not grounded in Reality, and hence their ability to operate on a rational level is impaired to begin with. Add to that their core philosophy of force, consent, and all it takes is for the interior demons to yell a little louder and for the voice of their wounded human conscience to be silenced forever.

That's not a Constitutionalist ... that's an anarchist.

Yup. That's what Cultural Jihad's been saying--and I agree with CJ.

Wow, I never met a poster boy for moral equivalence before. Can I have your autograph?

Doing what he gots to do certainly can be either right or wrong.Just coz he believes it so doesn't make it legal, ethical or civilized.

You appear to have a very tenuous hold on that rim yourself. Maybe you should take some time to cool out just a bit.

(He stopped me, and deprived me of my Constitutional liberty! He, a lowly man who hides behind an unlawful tin badge, the fascist Nazi, the slimey tax-eating useless swine vermin!)

"Yes, officer, here's my licence, see?"
(The licensed vigilante stooge! The Stalinist freak! The Waco-loving jack booted thug!)

"Yes, officer, I guess I was in a hurry. Sorry!"
(The slithering creature, the fanged vampire! The blood-sucking monster! You, telling me, the most important member of all of society, what to do! Why, if I had half the nerve of my convictions, I'd just ...)

Well, they do have a recipe for purifying water with iodine crystals, and a lot about chemtrails - maybe they have a recipe for DIY chemtrails...

The point being,he was a man of principle,he sincerely beleived in the constitution. The rest of us just live our lives, let one right after another taken from us without question or without the balls to question it,in public anyway.I do not condone the killing of this LEO,but, what went down with hershey should be known to understand why he "matthews" snapped and went on the run,it ain't as clear cut and pure as it has been told IMO.

You're really going to have to show me in the Constitution where it says that one citizen has the right to murder another citizen. I've looked & looked, you know, and I can't find that clause. I also can't find the right that one person has to murder another in the Ten Commandments. If you can find that Commandment, please post it, okay?

Not realy, every man has his breaking point,he may or may never reach it in his lifetime.I only came close once, since that time I have regrouped. On another thread someone posted about the movie falling down.Everyone has there own threshhold,None of us know when we might reach it.

Are anarchists worthy of being called "men of principle" even if their "principles" will get people murdered? You are in position to doubt why the facts so far, yet you do, thinking their must be a reason why Matthews snapped. It's a helluva coincidence that he was packing a 7.62 Cz that can penetrate kevlar, or that he came out blasting before Taylor could even exit his car, but thats not clear cut according to you, is it?

This man's breaking point was reached in 1998 when he uttered many times he would kill a cop.No one but he can be held responsible for becoming an outlaw, and trying to feel his pain is a frutless exercise when it should be directed to Eric Taylor's widow.

To empathize with this man any way is contemptible.

To be honestly truthfull,I think matthews knew he was a dead man after the second stop from hershey, why,I don't know except it was then that the chase exceeded 100MPH.I am not condoning what Matthews did, please undertand,I am trying to understand what made him do it.Yes,he carried a very lethal weapon, many here boast about the firepower they carry, and if you are gonna carry I guess one should carry the best, right, for whatever reason. My own personal view, amd this is to everyone,I do not trust cops, never have, and I never will. They will lie in a minute to cover their ass,and get 5 more to swear to it.

He did it because he was disturbed. What more is there to understand?

And why does it require such groping for a reason? Bad people do evil things because they are...evil.

That's what Cultural Jihad's been saying--and I agree with CJ.

I also have to agree with CJ on this one. This should not even be a contentious issue between libertarians and cultural conservatives, its between rational people and raving lunatics (no correlation intended).

Sorry,I do not think he was evil.Manson was evil,so was BerkowitZ,along with other sociopathic killers. To put Matthews in that group is wrong.Standing up in the beliefe of the constitution is not wrong, however it seems,in todays age,is a good way to get killed,by police.Waco and randy weaver come to mind.
