Saw them at a small venue in St. Louis (Mississippi Nights) about 8-9 years ago. Packed house - about 500 people - 497 wackos jumping up and down like pogo sticks while me, my brother and his friend were getting bounced around like pinballs. The music was awesome but I didn't care for the distractions.
About a year later they played at one of St. Louis' premiere venues - the Fox Theater. I thought, "Great! Maybe I'll be able to enjoy the show this time since they're playing in a classy theater". Wrong! Packed house - about 5000 - 4997 wackos jumping up and down like pogo sticks while me, my brother and his friend were bounced around like pinballs.
No thanks. I'll stick with the CDs and enjoy them in the comfort of my home.

I'm reminded of the episode of the Simpsons where the environmental nut who Lisa is in love with implores someone of his group to climb this giant tree and protest the fact that it's going to be cut down. "But I've got to warn you," he says, "you can't come down for anything. Not for Burning Man. Not even for a Phish concert."

I'll alert the media.

Man, you told that well. LOL. Maybe you, your brother, and his friend needed a couple of gallons of gin and juice to enjoy it, oh no, that'd be a Gourd's concert.

Insurance investigators usually did not stay long in my office when I would ask them if the voices in my head were bothering them...
