You are certainly right about treatment of women. But, Mohammed did have numerous wives and islam promotes polygamy. They also promise their acolytes 72 virgins in paradise (want to buy a bridge?). This qualifies it as a fertility cult in a rough sense. By the way, one of Mohammed's wives was taken when she was 9 years old.

I see absolutely nothing redeeming about this warlike violent oppressive totalitarian religion that seeks to kill all non-muslims and impose their ridiculous 7th century arabian culture on 21st centure societies. It's time for the United States to drop its "all religions are equal" policy and outlaw this horrible cult in the United States! People should not be free to practice religions that promote violence - this is not in the spirit of the Establishment clause. Anyone with a modicum of knowledge in history knows that islam is not peace. Islam is death, mutilation, and more death and mutilation. If our lame leadership can get past their own myopic multiculturalistic dilusions, perhaps they can begin to protect the United States as MANDATED by the Constitution! If we don't get mean with these people - and fast - these radicals will eventually destroy America as we know it.

As far as your other statements, in general, I think you are a little bit too kind to them. There are some belief systems and practices which are simply incompatible with a free and progressive society; pedophilia, theft, extortion, islam, these are examples of anti-social value-systems.
