I will have to take your word that he was only half-human. The analogy was about a mathematician speaking to another mathematician, mathematics, a science based on logic and written formulae. I am talking about God, and beliefs not based on logic. Regardless of how well informed he is, how could a modern writer possibly know what went on in ancient history, much less have reliable proof of a half-man performing miracles? The universe certainly does have perimeters, but only the ones that our human logic can derive. We are speaking of God, the creator of the universe and logic as we know it. Don't you think there may be more out there that we don't understan, or are incapable of? If not, it seems extremely arrogant to think that we as humans are the all-knowing just because of a really old book. Please explain to me the logic of the soul. Do you have a definition of the soul? Can any of Einsteins formula define the soul? It just comes down to an individuals personal belief.

It's the last thing in life that can come down to one's personal belief. What can be more important than the disposition of one's eternal soul?

This 'old book' that you see no value in is diferent from any other book on the planet. The Dead Sea Scrolls ( a topic covered in the book I recommmended to you ) are unique on the planet for the written word. Even more unique is that they revealed that ancient manuscripts we had prior to their discovery were very acurate. The Old Testament, the Jewish bible so to speak, was so faithfully coppied that no significant changes had been made in it's writings ( proven by comparison ) over several hundred years.

No other ancient manuscripts can make this claim. Both of age and faithfulness to the original text. This 'old book' makes many predictions, or prophecies, that have been proven to come to pass. Including the coming of 'A Messiah'. Several predictions were made concerning rather minute details of what This Messiah would do and how he would die. Jesus of Nazereth fulfilled them all to a T. Including the time of his coming as foretold in the book of Daniel.

This Messiah performed miracles and rose from the dead. He said any that any who accept that He had come from God and that He had died for all mankinds sins ... would have eternal life.

No other religion makes such wild and astonishing claims. No other religious figure of any note has claimed to be One with God and in fact God Incarnate.

There is ample evidence as I have referenced, that this man's claims are accurate and true. The religion he founded when compared to the other 'world religions' is very diferent and unique. This religion fostered Western Civilization. It also did not obviate the religion it sprang from. It is, rather, the capstone of Judhaism and any knowledgeable Christian understand that he is a spiritual Jew as well as a Christian.

Yet you toss it out with the trash without ever having studied it. I think it obvious that each man is captain of his own ship. When he sets a course for his ship of soul in this life it continues on into eternity on that course. You have set a course for eternal oblivion. We are creatures not creators. We are required to observe our place in the universe and follow the universal commandment which is the First Commandment. To do otherwise is idolatry ... which is, really, to put our SELF first and God somewhere down the line.

"Not my will but Thine oh God. I know nothing and you are the creator of the universe. Though you have obviously steped back from your creation and I can only sense you by faith ... I will search for you. I will believe in you. I will accept your Word. I will not make my doubts more powerful than the evidence you have given all of us."

Sorry to be so long winded. You have made yourself more powerful than great men and strong evidence. Without study ... on no information other than your own mind ... you have decided what is true. How can you not see your foolishness? Your gigantic pride is your god. As I stated before. Your God is too small. There IS a real God. He has made plain demands of man and you are ignoring them.
