What use is a god who sets the universe ticking and then withdraws to utter remoteness ... never seen, never heard?
A god without evedence of his existence is a god that does not care. I have no use for such a god.

It seems rather arrogant to think that God should owe you something. Why do you feel that God has to have a use for mankind? He is seen and heard every second of our existence. I don't believe God should be required to prove His existence to us. You have no use for a God that doesn't cater to you? The universe is huge beyond comprehension, we are very small, and our existence fleeting in comparison.
