O God, destroy the Jews, the Christians, the tyrant Jews, the usurper Jews and the vile Christians

yes, I am trying to figure out how to take this person from a simple belief in a "god" ... to a belief in the Alpha and Omega God, His Son and His Holy Spirit ... much like the Apostle Paul did when he was at Athens ...
some say the Gospel According to John is the best place to start an unbeliever or a new Christian ... I would tend to agree ...
for those who are interested, here is an online version of the Gospel According to John ...
The Gospel According to John
John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The Same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In Him was Life; and the Life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Have you read much of C.S. Lewis? If there was such a thing I'd be a Lewisian Christian. See if your friend would be willing to read "Mere Christianity".

"Pilgrims Regress" is also very good for the more philosophical as is Bunyan's inspiration for Lewis' takeoff ... "Pilgrim's Progress". The old english style is a bit stultifying but it's a wonderful book. Absolutely timeless.

no but I've heard it's excellent ... I've been busy moving a website but the host forwarding service has some weird technical problems ... I've got it working but not exactly as I would like ...

I suscribe to none of those because they are not an issue with me. I don't know why people do what they do now, much less in ancient times.

I would not want that to happen just so I could be convinced. If I knew what would convince me to believe the way you do, I would probably be that way already. What makes you think I want to be conviced? I am quite satisfied with the way I believe now. One, all-powerful and knowing God is fine with me. He gave me this life, and I am very thankful.

I think by your posts you've made it clear you don't want to be evangelized ... if you reread my post, you'll see I allowed for that ...
however there are many lurkers on threads so much is posted for the benefit of lurkers, who usually outnumber posters by a significant degree ...
prophecy, of course, is going to happen regardless of whether it would prove anything to anyone (Daniel 12:10) ... which it will actually. One proof is the Jerusalem earthquake in Revelation 11 which results in 7,000 deaths. Many of the survivors are changed it appears. To each his own.
