Oregon's wildfire woes continue
Sun Aug 11, 2:56 PM ET
Buzz Bernard, Sr. Meteorologist
Forecast Summary, The Weather Channel
West
The struggle with the biggest wildfire in Oregon's history continues. And those battling the blaze will get no help from the weather tomorrow. In fact, the elements will conspire against them as the air grows hotter and drier, and winds turn belligerent, gusting out of the north and east. Temperatures will soar into low 100s at some spots in southwestern Oregon and push well into the 80s as far north as the southern Puget Sound. Tuesday may be even hotter and drier. Most of the West, in fact, will be hot and dusty the next couple of days with only a few showers sneaking into parts of eastern Wyoming and eastern Colorado. Many locations in the Desert Southwest will stew in heat in excess of 110 degrees.
