Is he staying there until AFTER Labor Day? That would explain the dove hunting remark. Cannot a person shoot on their own property?

Cannot a person shoot on their own property? Yes if local laws permit. He may not hunt game out of season at anytime, unless those doves are a threat to his property. If they are killing his sheep he may shoot to his heart's contient.
