I'm from Ohio and got a ticket for going 50 in a 45 at 12am so there wasn't any traffic.

Five is more reasonable than one, though, frankly, anything less than ten is petty.

The rule in Texas is ten over on the weekends, fifteen during the week.

It seems to vary from county to county in Ohio. Allen County has to make a lot of money because you always see someone pulled over. They sit (hide) right down the street from me and laser those travelling on I75. It's nothing to see several cars pulled over every hour. I feel bad for some of those folks. I haven't had a ticket in a few years. I finally learned the ropes. I make my noises at the bar. Texas sounds like my kind of state!

I tried to do 15 over on the Katy Freeway one morning going to work but the cars in front of me were doing about 65 under!!!!

Stay safe; stay armed.

In California, any speed limit under 55 is just "suggested." If you can prove the suggestion given the subject conditions was inapposite then you can beat the ticket.
