Help me out will you and post some of the reasons you love the site and the different success stories Freerepublic has had over the years to make it #1.

It is #1....but it may be more than a great site for conservatives. I believe it represents one of the best examples of a virtual community in existence today. And it may be the best example of a new form of news gathering and distribution; FR uses a distributed model, which is completely different than the method traditional media use.

FR...not just a great site, but on the cutting edge of technological and social evolution.

For me it is because of the astoundingly talented people in many areas of endeavor from Science, to Politics, to Law, to well known media figgures, FR gets the news first, takes it apart bit by bit and ties it in with all the possibilities. It's better than a college education in the ability of the average individual, such as myself, to learn to use reason and logic to come to the truth.
