Veteran lawyer to represent governor's committee

The campaign committee was formerly represented by the big Loop law firm of Altheimer & Gray. But Pallmeyer disqualified the firm from serving as the committee's trial counsel. She said it had conflicts of interest because it had represented Fawell and possibly some of the witnesses.

Breen was brought in as a substitute by Altheimer & Gray, but he was reluctant to promise to follow the case to its end if there would not be enough funds to do the job.

Anyone in Illinois who is interested in the Senate race in 2004 for Peter Fitzgerald's (R) seat should know that Mr. Gerry Chico believes he deserves to be handed the seat. It has been quietly written about in Chicago newspapers. Mr. Chico is politically connected and runs the top Chicago law firm of Altheimer & Gray mentioned in the source article. That firm, however, is in hot water over representing George Ryan's corrupt campaign and were kicked off the case. I can't untangle all the conflicts here. Mr. Chico must be stopped! Now, based upon the tiny little story in the tiny little newspaper, Mr. Chico's firm has hired someone to get the campaign out of trouble. How does a law firm get kicked off a case but are then permitted to hire a replacement? Hey, LIBERALS, that one has got to go! Keep looking for another rich connected Demoncrat lawyer 'cause the chosen Chico is not clean enough to face the upcoming important Illinois Senate race. PLEASE don't let us die a liberal death here in Illinois. As it is, we are probably going to end up with Little Rod Blahboyabitch wearing his father's toupee as governor. I don't know if we can survive a liberal Dem governor AND another liberal Dem Senator. Smarmy Dick Durbin grates on me like nails on a chalkboard. Not another LIBERAL in Illinois... we are a wasteland. Only criminals carry guns and if you say you are a Republican around here, you get blank looks and stares and even an evil eye once in a while. The "koolaid" is in the water....
