The Western White House may be out near Crawford. But the inflatable White House will soon hit Indian Spring Park.
Demonstrators plan to use the park Tuesday during President Bush's economic forum at Baylor University. Their concern is corporate money in politics. Their props will include a 20-foot inflatable White House and a 10-foot puppet of former Enron chairman Kenneth Lay.

My question would be, where were they for most of the 1990's? I mean, the Rubin / Enron-Browner / Clinton's pals years?

Their props will include a 20-foot inflatable White House and a 10-foot puppet of former Enron chairman Kenneth Lay.Puppets again. Perhaps we need a 10-foot high puppet of ROBERT RUBIN!!!
To: McLynnan
A ten-foot high puppet of Robert Rubin could be smuggled into this demonstration as an example of a "good" Secretary of the Treasury. Then when the cameras start rolling, reveal the decorations asking why he isn't testifying about his cooked books. Eitiher it will make it onto TV, or the media won't be able to show the Ken Lay puppet.
Puppet wars.

They are just wasting their time.It is a given in the US that it is OK to steal from old average Joe, especially if you are rich. Being rich within itself carries a certain exclusion thats built into the Court System and Government.
After all both are controlled by lawyers on the front,in the middle and at the end.

Thanks for keeping us informed every day, about the events of President Bush's month-long "vacation."
What really cracks me up is that the press will have a field day covering this fifty-person demonstration. Too bad there aren't enough freepers in the area to stage a counter-protest. If I lived in Texas, McLynnan, I'd be there! I'd make signs with TRUTHS on them for the media to have to see..

LOL! A 5-foot Reich puppet!! HAR!
I am half-way serious about this. This is an excellent summer project for Young Republicans. It is, of course, necessary to dress appropriately, which means scruffy attire in order to pass through their ranks. Once successfully in place, clothing can be removed to reveal Bush/Cheney 2004 t-shirts.
I am sick of protesters like this getting all the air time. I also recommend that large air-horns, of the kind that clog up sound equipment, be available and used whenever these folks start chanting, so that their words don't become sound bites for the 6PM news.

how horrible war is for the species in Afghanistan and the monkeys in the jungles of the Phillipines Well then why don't the protest over there???

NOPE! All we need is a blow gun!

Or is it a blow dart?!

What a bunch of bull. There are honest business people and the scum that stole need to be sent to jail. Zero, end of discussion. But to imply b/c Bush who is Republican or b/c he got donations from Ken Lay--well, all politicians get donations and they will not say no to a donation if it does not look improper.
So for the protesters to come and make hay with Bush and his forum, I am not sure what their point is. Bush is on their side--wanting to know how to improve the economy and he has been after the CEOs. Appears that Enron was super complicated what with Rubin and with Europe and Citigroup, etc. It was not just the CEO getting the cream of the profits==there was outright fraud thruout.
