FISHER TAKES TO THE AIRWAYS

HARRISBURG – The Fisher for Governor Committee will begin airing television commercials today in four media markets across Pennsylvania. The ad is a sixty-second spot that focuses on Mike Fisher’s record and his vision for Pennsylvania’s future.

The ad will begin running early this evening in the Pittsburgh, Erie, Altoona/Johnstown and Wilkes Barre/Scranton media markets. Script attached.

“Since January, the Fisher/Earll ticket has been focusing on the grassroots activities as both Mike and Jane have been taking their message of jobs and prosperity to every corner of this state. Today, the campaign begins the paid advertising part of our efforts,” stated Fisher Campaign Manger Kent Gates.

“As voters begin to focus on the race for Governor and learn about who Mike Fisher is, what he has accomplished and where he wants to take Pennsylvania, we are confident that they will elect him our next Governor,” commented Gates. “This will be a competitive election that will come down to our ability to motivate voters,” remarked Gates.

“We are kicking off our media efforts at an unprecedented, early point because this election is not about one person or any one personality. It is about the voters of Pennsylvania deciding who is best prepared with the right values and vision to lead our state, and we believe voters want to learn more about Mike Fisher,” concluded Gates.

This television advertising campaign builds on the momentum from President Bush’s visit on behalf of the Fisher/Earll ticket where the campaign raised over $1 million. The Pennsylvania Governor’s race will be a top targeted race nationally.

Fisher for Governor :60 spot “Ice Cream” Brabender Cox Mihalke

I’m Mike Fisher candidate for Governor.

Let me take you on a little tour.

As Attorney General, I helped take over 7, 000 drug dealers off our streets, making our neighborhoods vibrant again.

I took on the giant tobacco companies and sued them for eleven-billion-dollars, critical funds to be used for better health care for our families.

I also went after any insurance company that tried to overcharge you or limit your access to health care services, so far helping thousands of families.

But, running for Governor isn’t just about where we’ve been, it’s also about where we’re going.

I see a Pennsylvania that accepts our responsibility to honor and care for America’s greatest generation.

I also have a plan to make Pennsylvania one of the high-tech leaders of the world, helping us attract businesses and create jobs.

But, if we’re going to get serious about competing for jobs, we have to get serious about improving education.

To me, the job of Governor is clear, its working everyday to make lives better.

With your help, that’s what I intend to do.
