You’re right, it’s not relevant. What’s a “big” donor, $50,000 to assorted campaigns annually? It’s very nice, but not big time.

He dated Jackie and gave a grand to Pat Kennedy’s campaign three years ago. That’s a “Kennedy” connection? I’d suggest you need to look elsewhere for scandal, and someone supporting McKinney based on this has something else on their mind, namely her reelection this fall.

You have it backwards, scratch. As Willie Sutton pointed out, you focus on where the money is. Check out the MoJo Top Fifty Donors to political parties in 2000.
