Israel has pledged to send a delegation of agricultural and industrial experts to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to assess the war-torn African country's needs and explore how Israel can help it rebuild, Israeli officials said yesterday. Foreign Minister Shimon Peres made the pledge during a meeting in Jerusalem yesterday with Congolese Foreign Minister Leonard She Okitundu. Peres briefed Okitundu on the nascent Israeli-Palestinian security contacts. He said there is no justification for Palestinian terror and that Israel does not lack a peace plan, but rather a peace partner. Peres also stressed the need to provide a "political horizon" to the Palestinians and to improve the humanitarian situation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Okitundu explained how Rwanda and Congo reached a peace agreement last month aimed at ending a devastating war in which up to two million people have died. Israel's offer came a day after the World Bank approved more than $450 million in aid for Congo. Israel has in the past provided military aid and training to various African forces and commando units, including units of the army of Zaire, as Congo was previously known. |
I figure your love of McKinney and Farrakhan/Calypso Louie must be one of those Parrothead kind of things, huh?
Do you know Stay away Christians Almost Cost Bush Election
Won't be a problem next time. Jews and Christians appreciate Bush's stance on the Middle East. :)
You support crazy McKinney too? Why am I not surprised. ;) I guess even at a Conservative forum there are a few Leftwing disruptors.
"But McKinney's implication that either the president or other officials might have allowed an attack to take place for potential economic profits led to a national outcry. Even her own state's junior senator, Zell Miller, D-Ga., labeled McKinney's comments "loony."
Unfortunately for the congresswoman, the accusation concerning prior knowledge by the president was not her first brush with the post-September "margin of error." Shortly after the terrorist attacks, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal offered $10 million to the City of New York, but then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani rejected the offer because the prince also suggested that the U.S. shared a portion of the blame for the events of 9/11. McKinney wasted little time in firing off a letter to the Saudi prince, lamenting Giuliani's actions and suggesting that he contact her office for a list of charities who could use the funds to assist what her letter termed "Black America." Again, some of the underlying points in McKinney's letter were arguably valid. But many in Washington and in her home state saw the move as a quick grab for cash that had already been rejected for the unacceptable "terms of receipt."
The recent poll suggests that many Republicans in this otherwise Democrat-heavy congressional district are considering crossing over to the Democratic primary in order to voice their displeasure with Cynthia McKinney. And the survey indicates that many white Democrats also intend to vote for Majette."
I would expect this loony-tunes Bush-basher to have fans at smirkingchimp, but HERE???
An Interesting Choice For McKinney's Campaign Coordinator
NEALZ NUZE ^ | Friday, August 9, 2002 | Neal Boortz
I just love it when listeners go out there and do a little digging for me. Thats where this little bit came from.
A few days ago I was reading one of the Atlanta Journal-Constitutions stories about the Cynthia McKinney campaign. The article, which appeared on August 3rd, identified someone named Wendell Muhammad as McKinneys campaign coordinator. Wendell Muhammad is also known to some folks as Wendell Arnold.
Muhammad thats sort of an Arabic/Islamic sounding name, isnt it?
Anyway .. turn the clocks back to March 18, 2000. Here we have a wire story from the Associated Press in which our friend, McKinneys campaign coordinator, Wendell Muhammad, is identified as a spokesman for the Nation of Islam.
What a great part-time job for a Nation of Islam spokesman coordinating a political campaign for Islams strategic choice for Congress.
Wait! Theres more! We have another Muhammad in the mix. This one is Brother Eric Ture Muhammad. He is the Director of the Black African Holocaust Council and the national correspondent for The Final Call, a newspaper published by Louis Farrakhan. Brother Eric Ture Muhammad also served as the Communications Director for --- guess who!!! Cynthia McKinney!
Is it any wonder that local elected officials in Cynthias district had to allocate taxpayer money to send a private lobbyist to Washington? McKinney is simply too busy representing Islam to tend to the needs of her own district!
Yep. It's a very old story. Considering Mr. Lied lives in Florida, where so many Jews retire to, his life must be pure HELL. :)
ZIMBABWE DEMOCRACY AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY ACT
OF 2001
SPEECH OF HON.
CYNTHIA A. McKINNEY OF GEORGIA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Tuesday, December 4, 2001
* Ms. McKINNEY. Mr. Speaker, at the international Relations Committee meeting of November 28, 2001, which considered the Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act of 2001, I asked a question of my colleagues who were vociferously supporting this misdirected piece of legislation: ``Can anyone explain how the people in question who now have the land in question in Zimbabwe got title to the land?''
* My query was met with a deafening silence. Those who knew did not want to admit the truth and those who didn't know should have known--that the land was stolen from its indigenous peoples through the British South Africa Company and any ``titles'' to it were illegal and invalid. Whatever the reason for their silence, the answer to this question is the unspoken but real reason for why the United States Congress is now concentrating its time and resources on squeezing an economically-devastated African state under the hypocritical guise of providing a ``transition to democracy.''
* Zimbabwe is Africa's second-longest stable democracy. It is multi-party. It had elections last year where the opposition, Movement for Democratic Change, won over 50 seats in the parliament. It has an opposition press which vigorously criticizes the government and governing party. It has an independent judiciary which issues decisions contrary to the wishes of the governing party. Zimbabwe is not without troubles, but neither is the United States. I have not heard anyone proposing a United States Democracy Act following last year's Presidential electoral debacle. And if a foreign country were to pass legislation calling for a United States Democracy Act which provided funding for United States opposition parties under the fig leaf of ``Voter Education,'' this body and this country would not stand for it.
* There are many de jure and de facto one-party states in the world which are the recipients of support of the United States government. They are not the subject of Congressional legislative sanctions. To any honest observer, Zimbabwe's sin is that it has taken the position to right a wrong, whose resolution has been too long overdue--to return its land to its people. The Zimbabwean government has said that a situation where 2 percent of the population owns 85 percent of the best land is untenable. Those who presently own more than one farm will no longer be able to do so.
* When we get right down to it, this legislation is nothing more than a formal declaration of United States complicity in a program to maintain white-skin privilege. We can call it an ``incentives'' bill, but that does not change its essential ``sanctions'' nature. It is racist and against the interests of the masses of Zimbabweans. In the long-run the Zimbabwe Democracy Act will work against the United States having a mutually beneficial relationship with Africa.

Classic!
You know why Jews like to make decent money? To insulate themselves from those with anti Semite tendencies. By living in a better neighborhood w/ decent schools. To have them at an arms lengths away. And even further.
In the last two years, DeBeers has seen its share of the market slip from over 80% to under 65%. Leviev grabbed Angola and that shook DeBeers. Tempelsman is trying to grab Namibia for himself (highest % of gem rough comes from Namibia).
DeBeers was sucessful in the past by cultivating and buying off American and British politicians. Leviev is playing a different game. He is using weapons from the former Soviet block and mob contacts such as Gaydamak to force his way in.
Meanwhile there are apparent free-lancers such as former Mossad agent Ari-Ben-Menashe who has hired himself out to Mugabe. The diamonds he trades for weapons are ending up in South Africa. Who gets them, DeBeers or Leviev is anyone's guess.
One thing we do know, Israel's offer to send "agricultural and industrial experts to the Democratic Republic of the Congo" has nothing to do with anything but helping Israel and looting the Congo of even more wealth.
Still carrying on ...sliming a good person like philanthropist Lev Leviev. It's the money they have that drives you crazy, that is what is emerging.
