Exactly. But if they can price it like a 2 man motorcycle, there will be a market for it. I'd even consider using one to commute to work considering that I'm worth more dead than alive (due to insurance).

Not quite. Motorcycles get surprisingly bad milage for their weight. My 750 only gets 38-45 mpg. All design decisions on motorcycles are opposed to milage and in favor of power and performance. It would be hard to find an 8hp motorcycle. It should be possible to make one that gets really good milage though. Maybe a single cylinder long stroke diesel.
