If you weren't quoting polls, then you can't possibly know whether Bush is "loosing" his base.

I know from listening to the right-wing radio station in my area. Caller after caller is concerned about Bush's left-wing direction and big government programs and his lack of leadership. There is more to life than polls. Bush and his minions have become poll watchers, worshipping the daily results, just like Klintoon did. Reminds me of Orwell's 'Animal Farm'.
