Yes, it was Shughart. I.On a May 23 ceremony, the parents of Master Sergeant Gary Gordon and Sergeant First Class Randall Shughart received posthumous Medals of Honor for their sons. Here is how it went according to Lt. Col. Tom McKenney (Ret) who has spoken to many of the parents and who was the guest on my last radio show:

Following the May 23 presentation at the White House, the families of the two men were invited into the Oval Office for a private visit with Clinton. Inside the office, the father of Sergeant Shughart refused to shake Clinton's hand, then look him in the face and calmly told him that he was responsible for his son's death, that it was for no purpose, that he was not fit to be President, and nto fit to be Commander in Chief.

Clinton was visibly shocked, amazed, and momentarily speechless. It is revealing that he was surprised that the man should feel that way. Clinton really doesn't think the way most people do, seeming to lack a sense of personal responsibility. After a brief, awkward silence, Clinton caught his breath. Becoming angry, he turned to the mother of the dead hero and said, "What's he jumping on me for? I didn't kill the kid!"

Yes, he really did say that--to the bereaved mother--he really did. It was an eloquent demonstration of Clinton's insensitivity, and of his absolute inability to understand sacrifice and responsibility."

Slick never "got it" about what Gordon and Shughart were about. He still doesn't think he made any mistakes.

I keep finding out that I have underestimated the man's nerve. When will somebody give this guy his comeuppance?

What an absolute bastard. (Our horny ex-president, not yo.) That he's still allowed in our country appalls me.

I agree with you. Truth does win out but myths also linger. Witness JFK and the whole Kennedy family myth. JFK was perhaps- second to Clinton, the most unfit man to hold that office. All the allegations of the JFK "haters" during his Presidency and even more never dreamed have turned out to be true. But JFK had a fawning press that protected him and covered for him. And over the years- after waves of truth have come out- they still try to obscure the truth. thus - to some extent the Kennedy as a "great President" myth still lingers in some corners.

And so it will be with Clinton to a lessor extent. No one will ever say he was a "Great President". Enough has come out to tarnish him in even the common man's eyes. But we have seen only the tip of the ice berg when it comes to Clinton's depravity, crimes, and even treason. And I think much of this story is known by our media and political elite. It will come out in dribs and drabs but it will come out. In 30 years time Clinton will be regarded as perhpas the most vile Politician in our history. But it will take years as he has his wormlike toady defenders as TIme Magazine has yet again demostrated.

Last weekend, my graduate school niece was here; while she was working on the computer, she was listening to MSNBC and happened to catch their weekend hour long show about Somalia and Bill Clinton.

She came STORMING into my room and demanded to know everything I knew about Bill Clinton and what he did or did not do.

You can bet I forwarded her this article the SECOND I saw it.

Always try to stay ahead of the spin. GOOD WORK on your part.

Rush covered this today. Apparently there's a book coming out depicting the impeached *One in a not-so-great light. This Time piece was to head things off at the pass. I don't think it's working...
