Generally so do I, but that evades my question rather than answering it. What if the parents are evil? There are plenty out there.
As opposed to our public school system which definately is (premarital sex, homosexuality, etc are all ok kids! The bible is completely wrong, evolution is right) or our politicians who are quite often more crooked than those behinds bars and go back on their word all the time. Again, I'll take my chances, if we catch abusive parents, then by all means, we should step in, otherwise, live and let live. We've had a nanny-state government for too long.
The question begged to be evaded, because it was far too broad and "compared apples to oranges." There are plenty of evil parents out there, but which of the many different definitions of evil should be used. An answer to that would take an eternity. Assuming you can define evil, there are definitely plenty more evil parents than politicians, if you are looking at an absolute number. However, if plenty is looked at as a percentage of evil parents to total parents as compared to the percentage of evil politicians to total politicians, then there are not plenty of evil parents. I suspect that the evil politicial percentage is so great as to justify "The Dukes" position.
