Another Prayer Request
Aug. 4, 2002 | ward of the state

Posted on 08/04/2002 9:59:21 AM PDT by ward_of_the_state

Please join me in offering prayers to our Heavenly Father for an Auburn, Illinois family who just lost their dear 16-month old boy from a choking accident. Their hearts are so heavy over the loss of this little ray of sunshine. Those of us who know the family feel so helpless to provide comfort. It's so difficult with the loss of a child. But I truly feel God's presence when a Freeper prayer chain is started because there are so many good people here.

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS:
My husband and I lost our first child and he was stillborn. I say that not to minimize the tragedy of this family's loss, but hope that God will use that experience to work through me so that in some small way, I can offer them comfort and strength.

Prayer is something I can do. Thanks for the information. The loss of a child must be almost unbearable.

Thank you, yes the loss of a child is the most heartbreaking ordeal that I've ever suffered, and I'm sure the same goes for this family as well. It's not right when your child goes before you. With the elderly, we can look back on their lives and see all the good they have done. With a child, we see that there was potential for so much more.

While I do not believe that God takes the young ones, it happens because the world is just an imperfect place. I do believe God's Master Plan is bigger than any of us can now see, and in His infinite wisdom will bring good of all this.

God Bless you, Libertina. You know, one reason so many people dislike computers is because they think computers isolate us from one another. But when a Freeper prayer thread is started, I believe nothing could be farther from the truth! The kindness and compassion displayed by Freepers never fails to move my heart. And God Bless Jim Robinson for letting us use this forum for prayer. It connects us in ways that I don't think he ever realized when he began this wonderful site.

I pray that God puts His loving arms around the parents of this angel, and that He gives you the knowledge and wisdom needed so that you can comfort his loving parents. God Bless.
