Your lack of understanding is really something. Go ahead and believe as you wish, but this is not nearly as simple as you make it out to be.

So?

You can believe what you want to believe. Who cares?

Oh please. Some people think that because of the langauge in the King James's John, I should think contemporary Jews murdered Jesus, nevermind all the smiting and etc. in the Old Testament. If you can't already tell the difference between a mainstream church in the U.S. and a mainstream mosque in Gaza, you just can't be told.

Actually that's not what the nuns taught us in Catholic grammar school in the 1950's. Jew's and others persons sitting in darkness without Cross or Law could get into heaven based on "Baptism of Desire", i.e., trying lead a good life, rather than mere "Baptism of Water". If anything the obligations on believers was greater because God had chosen to let us in on the secret. But babies dying without Baptism were condemned forever to Limbo, where they would experience all the joys and pleasures of Heaven but be deprived the "Beatic Vision", the sight of God. Which is the worst that could happen to a just Pagan.

Some Christians. I think Catholicism (as I was raised) currently teaches that "good works" will get anyone to heaven.

The late Father Malichi Martin said that Christ opened the door for everyone ("none enter the Kingdom except through me), but that it was not necessary for a person to know who opened the door for them to enter (i.e., you could benefit from Christ's sacrifice without accepting him -- your good works are enough to get you to heaven).

But yes, I can understand why some Jews would be upset over how some Christians think they'll burn in hell. Of course, when I was a child, I was upset at the portrayl of gentiles in the Old Testament. I was acutely aware that I was not Jewish, yet the Old Testament justified their conquest of Canaan simply because the Jews were God's "chosen." The message seemed to be "God blesses those who bless the Jews," but Jews were not required to bless me back. As long as the Jews obeyed God, it didn't matter how they treated the gentiles.

I was always relived to come to the New Testament, and hear that now everyone is chosen.

I think Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have all been harsh to non-believers -- I look forward to rabbis and mullahs, as well as ministers and priest, correcting the Torah, Bible, and Koran.

The Catholic Church has apologized for the Crusades (which resembles the Israelites conquest of Canaan -- because "God" told them to conquer those unbelievers). I don't think there's a religion on Earth that can't find something -- in both deed and "scripture" -- that they can be ashamed of.

(I see that The Remnant is also hostile to Catholicism. No surprise there. I've met fundamentalists who think the Church is "infiltrated by Satan.")

Come one lets be honest ...Any one of the three religions, when you get down to the core beliefs of each, has to think the other two are going to hell.

I would assume, that bottom line, from the Jewish perspective....Christians follow a false god so I am pretty much screw for the afterlife.

(I would however like to know from any Jewish freeper out there what the teaching are on this)

Dude, a lot of Christians think all the other Christians outside of their own denomination are going to hell.

It would be much more hostile to beleive we could exist without the knowledge of a greater being .....hell exists ! .....as does heaven! to beleive that they do not is more hostile in that life itself is anarchy without god

Rev 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
Rev 12:2 And she being with child, cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered, to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a male child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up to God, and [to] his throne.
Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred [and] sixty days.
Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out upon the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives to the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth, and of the sea! for the devil is come down to you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who brought forth the male-[child].
Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Rev 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.
Rev 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Well, you believe the way you do and I will do the same. However, the threat to Jews and Christians are Arab Muslims who believe that sacrificing their children in the name of Allah will bring peace. If anything, we should pity such backward and inept ways of thinking. It is sad that they are so unenlightened. Maybe, if they left desert more often..they'd get a clue!

That's what the Bible clearly teaches, whether people like it or not. Jesus is the only way to God. Unbelievers, of any stripe, are always hostile to the gospel until their hearts are changed by the Holy Spirit. Christians are to relay this truth in humility and in love, but they must proclaim the truth, nonetheless. To do otherwise, is to disobey God.

Try checking out this web site -- http://www.levitt.com/

Zola Levitt is a messianic Jew who has an informative web site. He has made many videos about Christians and Jews -- one of his points is that God has not finished his work with the Jewish nation. It is God's desire to save all who will accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour -- and in the end times many Jews will be saved.

According to Christ all non-believers will spend an eternity in hell. Christians are just those who follow the teachings of Jesus. If you have a beef, take it up with him.

At the risk of being labeled a racist, I look last week to Bill Clinton telling Jews that he would fight and die for them. And they cheered!!! Now, what is that suppose to tell me about American Jews?
